1. Yeouido Spring Cherry Blossom Festival

The Yeouido Spring Cherry Blossom Festival, Seoul's representative cherry blossom festival, will be held for six days  from April 4 (Tuesday) to 9 (Sunday) at Yeoui-seo-ro and the nearby Hangang Park. Since its inception in 2005, Yeouido Bombyeol Festival has attracted tourists not only from Seoul but also from across the country, but for the past three years since the outbreak of COVID-19, Yeoui-seo-ro, the main cherry blossom street, has been closed and "spring flower distancing" has been practiced. This year's festival, which will be held for the first time in four years, is expected to attract more than five million visitors nationwide.

 

This year's Yeouido Spring Flower Festival, which will be held for the 17th time, is themed "Spring Again" and will feature a variety of cultural and artistic events for everyone to enjoy. To this end, various performances are held every evening, including 'Spring Flower Night', 'Busking' that adds to the fun of the cherry blossom path, and 'Art Market' where you can find eco-friendly crafts.

 

2. Seokchon Lake Cherry Blossom Festival

Another cherry blossom festival in Seoul, the Seokchon Lake Cherry Blossom Festival, takes place from April 5 (Wednesday) to 9 (Sunday) around Seokchon Lake. The cherry blossom paths circling Seokchon Lake create a unique view of the lake as well as the skyscrapers including the 2nd Lotte World. The festival, which will be held for the first time in four years after the coronavirus pandemic, will kick off with a "Cherry Blossom Greeting" on the lakefront stage on the first day, followed by various performances, experience events, and flea markets.

 

The 'Yangjacheon Cherry Blossom Lantern Festival' will be held at the Yangjacheon Cherry Blossom Trail from April 6 (Thursday) to 27 (Thursday). The illuminated cherry blossoms and lanterns along the Yangjacheon River create a romantic at mosphere. In addition, various performances, art flea markets, and experience programs will be held.
