BTS in Wanju Awon hanok

1. Soyang Oseongje Reservoir - BTS Reservoir with pine trees
This is a reservoir with mirror-clear water, and a lone pine tree stands out in the quiet landscape. Originally planted for filming a drama, it has since been featured in BTS videos and is a must-see spot for selfies. There is also a walking path around the reservoir, which is perfect for a leisurely stroll.

2. Samye Bibinakan - A spectacular view of the Mankyung River from the hill
After climbing the steep stairs, you'll reach the lawn where the BTS used to sit and a wide view. You can see the panoramic view of Wanju and the flowing Mankyung River, as well as the city of Jeonju in the distance. Especially at sunset, the sunset over the river is spectacular.

3. Hanokstay Awongotak - A night in a tranquil hanok
This 250-year-old house was moved from Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do, and now serves as a hanok hostel. BTS rented the entire house for several days during filming, making it a holy place representing Wanju. In spring and fall, the colorful mountains are a popular spot for visitors. If you remember the images of BTS's Jimin holding a fan, J-Hope wearing a robe, V wearing a lampshade, and Jungkook holding a book in the tranquil hanok, you should definitely visit Awon Go-taek.

4. Wibongsanseong Fortress, where you can see the arched stone gate in the BTS pictorial
This is a mountain castle that can be seen if you go back in the direction of Wibongsan Mountain from Aowon Ancestral Residence, but only a part of the gate remains. The arched stone gate, which is part of the west gate, became famous when it appeared in the background of the BTS pictorial. On the east gate of Wibongsanseong Fortress, there is also Wibongsan Falls, a two-tiered waterfall that reaches a height of 60 meters, and is one of the eight scenic spots in Wansan.

5. Alpine Iris Village with BTS Bridge
This is the largest iris colony in Korea and is home to a village that makes traditional handicrafts using irises. The concrete bridge featured in the BTS video is a must for a selfie! The village also has a workshop where you can make traditional natural shampoo, natural soap, or wash your hair.
